First ITRN Conference

ITRN Conference News:

The first ITRN conference took place on the 31^st August and 1^st September 2010 in the School of Architecture, Landscape and Civil Engineering in University College Dublin. This first conference was an enormous success and the organizers would like to thank all those who participated. In particular, we would like to thank our sponsors – the Department of Transport and the National Roads Authority.

There were 65 papers presented at the conference and over 100 delegates attending on the 2 days. The delegates were addressed by 2 plenary speakers: Professor Roger Mackett of the Centre for Transport Studies in University College London and Professor Tschango John Kim of the University of Illinois. The conference was opened by Mr. Tom O’Mahony, Secretary-General of the Department of Transport.
